The Descent

Five movements of the clearing

From the first intention to the integration that follows — the work moves in order, the way the smoke does.

  1. Step 1: Intention Consultation

A 30 minute Zoom call to know more about your home, your intentions, and what is ready to be clean and cleared.

  2. Step 2: Preparation of the Space

Begin the purge about 2 weeks in advance by decluttering, cleaning, and preparing your home to receive the work.

  3. Step 3: Light the Mapacho

We set a time for me to come to your home and call in the Mapacho to continue the cleaning.

  4. Step 4: Home of Light

In my next ceremony, I sing for your home to clean, clear, and fill it with light.

  5. Step 5: Integration

After the clearing, you support the work by tending the space with presence, beauty, and care.

The Clearing

Home of Light

The heaviness lifts. The rooms grow quiet and bright. What remains is a space that holds you — clear, warm, and alive with light.

The Tradition

A lineage of song & smoke

The Shipibo people of the Peruvian Amazon carry one of the world's living healing traditions. Their songs — icaros — are sung medicine: ordered patterns of sound, like the geometric designs they paint and weave, used to clear, protect, and restore.

A home holds everything that has happened inside it. This practice brings that tradition to the spaces we live in — calling on sacred mapacho (tobacco) and song to lift what has grown heavy and return the home to light.
